CANAL PURSUIT FOR MENTAL HEALTH

In August 2015 I ran from Port Severn to Ottawa along the Trent Severn and Rideau Canals to raise funds and awareness for the Mood Disorders Society of Canada’s Defeat Depression campaign. I raised over $12,000 that first year. I did the same run again in September 2016, and in 2017 the run became an annual event, but changed into a relay, with individual runners running multiples of 10 km. Over the first six years of the run, the Canal Pursuit for Mental Health has raised over $150,000 thanks to the dedicated runners who come back year after year.
In 2017 the Valentine’s Fatazz Trail run was added, a February fun run.
In 2020 the Three Days in the Park event was added.
